Typhoon Ondoy

What the flood looked like through my window.

Early this morning, my youngest sister woke me up. When I went down, our kitchen is already flooded. I wasn't surprised actually, because this happens to us almost everytime there's a heavy downpour of rain. What surprised me, though, was the flood outside that reached knee deep. In my 32 years living here in Makati, in this specific area, this has NEVER happened.

This is nothing compared to what happened to our brothers and sisters located in the lower parts of Metro Manila. I'm asking everyone to please pray for our fellow Pinoys who are going through this trying time in their lives. Some of them are already living on their rooftops, some have already lost loved-ones.

  1. Grabe talaga. Call it coincidence, but the moment I prayed for the flood to stop raising, the rain held up a bit.

Still, there are those who needs our prayers. Pray tayo para sa kanila. Commonwealth area, Marikina, even some areas here in Makati, UERM na hanggang 3rd floor daw ang baha, atbp.

  6. Everything here sa area namin is ok naman, di lang maiwasan mag-worry sa ibang mga kaibigan. We're playing hosts to a family na flooded ang first floor sa Sta Ana.

And I haven't heard from all of the Metro Kids yet.

  8. As I watched the news about Typhoon O., I'm praying for you all. 'Hope you're all safe & your needs are being met as well as our kababayans. God promised us that He will be with us even if we pass through flood waters & raging waves. May His love, comfort, power and provision be with you all...specially those who are still suffering the most. Let's remain faithful...God has something better later on.Victory from these trials of faith is far more precious than gold.
